Volvo pliers. By Slant6.
Colors show up weird on Oppo but the printed version looks fine so whatever.

As if you need ANOTHER thing to work on, and more advice: colors and grid theory. Those two things will drastically help your presentations.
Sad but true: the prettiest is the most convincing, and gets built.

Just realized I put mm instead of CM. There goes another $20.

In maine, with my family, and working on a 220-year-old house.

That’s really cool.
I’m not like mad or anything that you weren’t around (how could I be, you owe me nothing and if anything I owe you thanks for being an interesting design resource), but had I been told that earlier I could have done more about it.
It’s also my first sophomore project, so I’m pretty satisfied. I think it’s good for a first shot, and I’m determined to get better.

The coolest part is the lightning bugs. They’re like flashbulbs at a concert in the 80s. Really makes me want to research regional dialects in flash duration among different populations.
And, hey, for a sophomore project, not too bad. Pick up some good graphic reference books— and don't rely on Google for the images, you really need the weight of ink on paper to learn it. If you want some recommendations, I could grab some next week when I'm back home.

I’m looking at some lightning bugs right now. They really are neat. I remember at camp all the kid that were in NC from Florida would be amazed by the fireflies while all the NC kids enjoyed them, but they had grown up with them.
I’m always open for any recommendations of any kind. By graphic reference books do you mean like books of other people’s drawings to draw inspiration/ style from?

Yeah, there are some very good graphic design books out there, both history/reference and theory. Grid systems, color theory, etc.
All boils down to color and composition, and hierarchy of information.
